Condiment or Foundation

The other day, I had the opportunity to observe a good number of people in different settings.  As I observed I noticed that in nearly every interaction with each other, the facilities, and visitors, they were authentic.  Their faith was not something that was just poured on like a condiment, giving a taste but not the key ingredient.

So I began to think, do I sprinkle in bible phrases/words/action at random/when convenient or when I speak/interact is it from my heart?  Are my words from a heart that has been truly changed?  Or am I just familiar with faith enough to seem to have the appearance of faith but posses no real root?

If someone were to observe me, would they see that my faith is the foundation of life or a condiment?
