It is time for our next Who Was She? Introducing Sarai: Prayer, Trust and Fear Part 1. Yashar details two of her prayers, how YAHUAH delivered her and how the enemy got her all worked up. For months I have only thought about the warfare that she went through, but recently, as I have been in prayer, I remembered her prayers. Ladies, though it seems like YAHUAH doesn’t hear our prayers, I believe that He truly does. Now, let’s start with some questions:
What do you do when you find yourself in a place you never thought you’d be?
What do you do when your promise is threatened and it seems like your worst fear is about become reality?
We all know that there was a famine when Avram journeyed to Mitsrayim with Sarai and all those that were with him. Afraid of Sarai being taken he hid her, yet the Mitsrites still found Sarai and she was taken to Pharoh’s house-to become one of his wives.
Sarai worried, was Confused and Bewildered. Many were her thoughts, but at the same time she and Avram do the same thing.
Though apart, they both prayed at the same time.
Yashar 15:16 says “And the woman was then brought to Phar’oh’s house, and Avram grieved on account of his woman, and he prayed to YAHUAH to deliver her from the hands of Phar’oh. And Sarai also prayed at that time and said,”
What happens next is astounding! Yashar 15:19-20
“And YAHUAH hearkened to the voice of Sarai, and YAHUAH sent an angel to deliver Sarai from the power of Phar’oh. And the king came and sat before Sarai and behold and angel of YAHUAH was standing over them, and he appeared to Sarai and said to her,
Do not fear for YAHUAH has heard your prayer!!!!
Sarai knew her deliverance was only found in YAHUAH’s hand and that only He could save her and then she asked for mercy! She trusted in YAHUAH, not her own self and she accounted her circumstances as an accident. She did not blame her husband, she knew he meant her no harm.
Ladies when we pray, we must pray-no matter the situation-pray with confidence to know that our deliverance is from YAHUAH. Like Sarai, we must also have the confidence that we have done all that He has asked us to. We must have accepted YAHUSHA Messiah into our hearts, forgive others (actively), keep ourselves un-spotted from he world and keep our hearts guarded (and deal with our heart issues).
Over the last few months, I have wondered in my heart, whether YAHUAH heard my prayers. Time and time again, I have seen Him answer in His own way. I never thought I would have to go and get a diagnostic mammogram but praise YAHUAH all is well. I also thought I might have diabetes, kidney problems and some other health issues, but my results from my yearly women’s appointment were all normal. This is important because for years when I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes, and when I wasn’t pregnant, I was border line diabetic. But by listening to His leading and making some changes, I am now longer on the border line for diabetes. In addition, several of our children had some symptoms that pointed to several serious health issues which required some testing but praise YAHUAH, they are well!
I know that sometimes the test results may not be normal. They maybe abnormal. But I know that YAHUAH is with us and that:
Okay, some final notes, not only did Sarai see and hear the angel comforting her, she saw the angel, tormenting her oppressor. Yashar 15:23-28 tells of the torment that Phar’oh went through all night. Every time he tried to come near her, the angel smote him to the ground!
Through the hand of Phar’oh, YAHUAH gave Avram and Sarai, menservants, cattle, maidservants, silver and gold and also Hagar (she was the daughter from one of his concubines and he said that it would be better for her to dwell in the house with this man than to live with him). Yashar 15:29-33, also Bereshith 12
YAHUAH heard, delivered and provided for them. I believe He will do no different for us. Though we may not see angels, we must believe that YAHUAH is working things out for our good.
